Science Verification: Long Baselines - Juno
Description / Details of the target
Target: Juno. Juno is an asteroid that is often used for ALMA calibrations.
Spectral setup: continuum TDM, with spectral windows centred at 224, 226, 240 and 242 GHz (Band 6).
Capabilities to be verified
10km baselines in Band 6. The long baseline capability for ephemeris targets.
Suitability
Juno is the most suitable ephemeris target that is within the LST range required for observations during the imaging period of the Long Baseline Campaign (Oct/Nov 2014).
Status
Observed. Data will be released on 17 February 2015.
An announcement will appear on the ALMA Science Portal prior to any Science Verification data being publicly released.
