Status regarding the cyberattack affecting ALMA services

Dear colleagues,

The Joint ALMA Observatory is continuing to work on the recovery of ALMA services and operations following the cyberattack that took place on October 29, 2022. At this time, observing remains suspended.

It is anticipated that the next update regarding the return of services and operations will be posted on the Science Portal in the next several days.

The recovery effort is underway thanks to the hard work and extraordinary dedication of ALMA staff. We are grateful for the support and understanding across the ALMA partnership and the ALMA user community. We regret any inconvenience or impact experienced by our ALMA users due to this situation.
