Advanced Study for Upgrades of the Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array (ALMA)

A call went out to invite Proposals from European Institutes for studies relevant to the ALMA Development Plan. The completed studies will be used, together with similar studies from the other ALMA partners, to devise and implement the ALMA Development Plan. Limited funding is available to support the studies and this will be allocated on a competitive basis. Studies partly or fully supported from external sources are also solicited and, if presented, will be considered in the definition of the ALMA Development Plan.

The response to this Call should be a completed Proposal Form together with a 10-15 page outline of the proposed study, to be delivered by 2 September 2013. It is expected that the funded studies will start at the beginning of 2014.
